How would you define a great product? Does what it's supposed to? Or a little more?
When I first heard of The Soap Co. my thoughts flashed to the hundreds of varieties of soaps we stock- There’s pretty much a soap to suit any preference. I thought, what’s the
use of another? Until I heard their story.
Before being introduced to the product I already knew of their efforts to help visually and physically impaired people,
something I thought was brilliant. Hearing the hardship these people have overcome with the help of Soap Co is pretty inspirational! 80% of their work force live with disabilities, meaning Soap Co. not only rely on their staff to produce their amazing products but the staff also rely on Soap Co. I've included one of their video's below so you can see for yourself.
A soap, that cares...
So obviously, I really wanted to get involved. But did the product stand up to the quality of the rest of our range? Quite honestly, I can say yes! The products from Soap Co. not only smell fantastic, contain zero parabens and use recycled plastics they change the lives of people who need it. I am warmed by the idea that companies are able to do something that will directly improve the lives of people living with such disabilities.
The ethos at Soap Co. is that products should do good and be good. Their product design focusses on reducing environmental impact and the packaging is designed to impress! The simple black and white design reflects their simple, yet excellent, values. The bottles recycled from old milk bottles and the film comes from renewable wood pulp. Their labels can be composted and the glue they use is nontoxic and
biodegradable. They have pretty much thought of everything!
I cannot pretend that these products do not carry a higher price tag than others on the market, but I also cannot think of many other products that exude such a positive image for your company. A healthy, environmentally friendly, ethical product that smells amazing and does its job! That makes a pretty great product from my point of view!
